Berberine is a natural alkaloid with therapeutic use in metabolic syndrome, Type 2 diabetes and dyslipidemia. 

Berberine is present in several plants such as Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis), Oregon grape (Berberis aquifolium), Barberry (Berberis vulgaris) and Chinese Goldthread (Coptis chinensis).

Features

Berberine is poorly absorbed across the gut wall and therefore high doses must be taken to achieve therapeutic results. Our unique orthomolecular formula provides a significantly higher Berberine coefficient of absorption and utilization.

  • Uses a highly researched specialized support blend to significantly increase berberine absorption 
  • Targets control of blood sugar by activating adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase or AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and by increasing expression of insulin receptors and therefore reducing insulin resistance
