Feature summary
Lactose intolerance is an inability to easily digest dairy products that plagues many people today. Lactase enzyme is missing or depleted in these people. Relief and proper digestion can be regained with lactase enzyme supplementation.
Lactase is the enzyme necessary for digesting the sugar, lactose, from dairy products. Deficiency in lactase enzyme is common worldwide. It has been estimated that 70 to 90 percent of Asian, African American, American Indian and Mediterranean adults lack this enzyme. Symptoms range from minor abdominal discomfort and bloating to severe diarrhea in response to even small amounts of lactose. Lactase Enzyme allows people with lactase deficiency to eat or drink dairy foods without experiencing the symptoms of lactose intolerance.
