Finlandia’s Inositol is myo-inositol, a B-vitamin-like simple polyol. Myo-inositol shows the most promise as a dietary supplement for promoting female fertility, restoring insulin sensitivity in instances of resistance (type II diabetes and polycystic ovarian syndrome being the most well investigated), and for reducing anxiety. Inositol forms the basis for phosphatidylinositol (a key cellular phospholipid), is a lipotropic factor, and is involved in cellular signal transduction. It is a compound that has more recently been applauded for its ability to support a healthy mood balance and normal cellular growth and differentiation.
For people with mood disorders, Inositol is a new orthomolecular key to the shackles that bind their minds.
