Feature summary
Coconut oil is derived from the fruit of the palm tree (Cocos nucifera) and is a traditional staple food in Asia, Africa, and the Pacific Islands. It has been used in India for thousands of years in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for its natural antifungal and antiviral qualities, as well as its ability to increase the immune response. CoconutRich is a natural source of medium chain triglycerides (MCTs). These beneficial fats are known to stimulate the metabolism and assist in healthy weight management. Clinical research has confirmed that MCTs are more easily absorbed and used for energy than most other fats. They also support cardiovascular and brain health, and their antimicrobial activities are therapeutic for candida and other microbial infections.
CoconutRich is made from organic coconuts. The oil is separated from the fruit using a cold-pressed extraction process that eliminates the potential risk of contamination with solvents. It offers a convenient alternative to liquid formats, delivering 1000 mg of pure oil in each softgel.

How it works
Coconut oil contains a natural blend of MCTs with the most predominant fatty acid being lauric acid. Coconut oil’s effectiveness in boosting metabolism is mostly due to the fast transit of MCTs through the body, with limited storage in fat cells. MCTs are transformed into medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs) in the digestive tract which allows them to be easily absorbed directly into the blood. This process helps MCFAs bypass fat tissue and prevents them from being deposited into cells as fat. MCFAs are then transported to the liver where they are converted directly into usable energy. The MCTs in coconut oil activate the body’s immune response to reduce susceptibility to infection. They accomplish this by stimulating the release of white blood cells into the blood. MCTs also exert antifungal effects due to the combined effects of the MCFAs lauric, caprylic, and capric acid. The exact antimicrobial process of these fatty acids is largely unknown; however, some studies have shown that they disrupt the cell membranes of microorganisms, leading to their death.
